Why it is true and confirmed that so many people make money on the Internet, it is also true that a good number of them out there still doubt the possibility of one ever making money online especially Nigerians. I have read so many articles on so many website on how to make money online and i discovered that one among these simple ways is via Google Adsense. Today i want to show you simple steps on how to start making money with Adsense on your blog.
Lesson 1.
What is Google Adsense
Google Adsense is an advertising program maintained by Google Inc. As a publisher of Google, you are permitted to embed Google Adsense codes on pages in your website or blogs and the ads appear in the sizes and locations of your choice. This program has been a real boom to the work at home crowd and bloggers. The whole program is very simple. You just write about things you like on your blog, sign up on Google Adsense and Google pays you for placing relevant ads on your sites.
Ok now having read this short section on what Adsense is, it is now time to get started:
Lesson 2.
The Basics – Getting Started
Here we are going to discuss the basic things you need to get started. You don’t need too much at first so don't worry. The first two things you need to do to get started are setting up a site and registering with the Google Adsense program. You need to have a website/blog before you sign up with Adsense. One of the first questions they will ask you is the URL of your website. Even if you don’t know how to setup a website, you can setup a blog in minutes if you have the right hosting account. A blog is a type of website that is designed to be easy to update. It has a user friendly interface that allows you to add content quickly. I recommend that you use www.blogger.com if you want to put up blogs easily and don’t have much experience setting up blogs.
You can also use the wordpress blog, but its a little bit technical and you will also need a way to register domain names for your wordpress blogs. I recommend www.godaddy.com and www.hostagor.com. i personally use web4africa.net on my other blog, no problem so far with them. you can also use them too
Create a free blog on any of the following above. use blogger.com if i were you.
Next you need to choose a niche of your passion to build your blog on and that should be your topic too.
Create a new blog at www.blogger.com using your Gmail, A blog is easy to create at blogger. Simply, scroll down on the homepage until you see an arrow that says "Create your blog now". When you want to choose a template for your, choose the one with a white background so that your adsense will look nice and fitting on the blog.
Your blog's URL should contain your keywords separated by dashes. If it is not available, try adding some unique words or numbers.e.g if the one above is not available, www.blogger-frequently-ask-questions.blogspot.com after then save your settings.
You now have to create a post and publish it. that is your first post. go to your dashboard and click on posting and click New post as shown below.
Enter your title at the title space and your post at the post space provided respectively. note that your post must be relevant to your niche ie the topic you have chosen to write about on your blog. You don't know what to write? rush to www.ezinearticles.com, www.goarticles.com, articlejoint.com and grab a relevant and short article optimized for your keyword. rewrite the article post and publish it on your blog.
Lesson 3.
Inserting Google Adsense on Your Blog
Lets assume now that you have registered with Google Adsense, and you now own your personal blog. It's now time to start making money by inserting Google Adsense on your blog. Now you also have to put adsense at the right sidebar of your blog.
1. Sign in to your adsense account at www.google.com/adsense Click on "adsense setup" ---->Adsense for content and create the format of the adsense to place on your sidebar.
2. Choose skyscrapers and choose background colors and border colors that will blend with the color of your side bar.
3.Copy the Code you will get after the process Now go back to the HTML section of your blog,scroll down towards the end till you see something like this or use CTRL+F to find <!-- Begin #sidebar --> Place your cursor at the end,hit ENTER and paste the code you copied from adsense. click "save template settings" Note that you can only do these process if you are using the classic template. But for the normal template just read this post to create Google ad codes for your blog Remember, it will take 24-48 hours for Google ads to start displaying on your blog.
4. with these ones ready, you will need to go and ping your blog. This is to alert other search engines about your blog.You will have to do to this each time you make a new post on your blog. Simply go to http://www.pingomatic.com .Fill in the boxes and tick all the services to ping. Then click "send pings"
